Unfold exists to give young people the opportunity to dream. Dreams that prove you can do more - and be more - than anyone ever thought possible.
We want to shine a spotlight on the stories untold; the ones no one has heard, and the ones that are burning to get out.
We know that the future is creative, and we believe in the power of stories. Your stories. We see the strength in telling your own story, and being proud of what it represents.

Is Unfold a safe event?
Creating a setting where young people can feel safe and supported to express themselves freely and creatively is the most important part of an Unfold event
We will have Adults who are a part of the community supervising the event - ensuring that both our young people and the space are cared for. If you have other questions about Health and Safety regarding Unfold events, please feel free to contact us via email at hey@theunfold.nz.
Can I smoke or bring drinks?
Unfold is a drug and alcohol free event
As a part of making sure that Unfold remains a safe and inviting space for all our young people, we kindly ask that all Unfold events are alcohol and drug free.

Will there be food?
Yes!
We like to think sharing kai is a key part of setting a vibe and environment where everyone feels cared for and welcome. If you’re only coming for the free food… that’s cool!
Can I get a ride home?
Unfold understands that transport can be a barrier
If you have any concerns about yourself or loved one’s ability to travel home from an unfold event (Finishing officially at 12am) - get in contact with us at hey@theunfold.nz. We may be able to help arrange a ride home.
Who is allowed to come to Unfold?
Unfold is for everyone, even if you’re still at school
We live for the stories and dreams of young people. We want to provide the space for you to tell your story, the way you want to tell it. Put simply - if you want to come to Unfold, we’d love to see you there.
Do I need a ticket?
Unfold is free!
Don’t worry about a ticket. Just turn up when it suits you.
